Hello, Charles, and welcome to the ErfWiki!

Thank you for taking an interest in our wiki. If you have any trouble or need help, feel free to ask questions on my talk page or any other editor's talk page. Also, you could look at a help page. We hope you like it here and decide to stay!

Please sign your name on talk pages by using four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your name and the date. Signing your comments is important, as it lets other editors know who has posted which comments.

I'd love to do more to combat spam, but all I can do as an admin is block bots and delete edits. Only User:Harknell can. You'd have the best chance of finding him on the Forum. If the situation doesn't get some attention, I'll PM Balder about it. Miment 04:32, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Just an update, I talked with Rob about it a bit on IRC. He knows, and he's telling Harknell.

[15:02] <RobTitan> Primary problem is with new pages being created, then?
[15:03] <Miment> Yes
[15:04] <Miment> Disabling new pages would be an OK temp fix, but
requiring a proper captcha on edits with new external links should
stop basically any type of spam.
[15:07] <RobTitan> I will quote you on that directly to Harknell in this email I am composing.

Putting it in the talk page would be easier, yeah. Though really it doesn't matter. We only started doing things that way because anonymous editors don't have a user page. So the only place to put the category was in their talk.
