Parson: My life may end in a big song-and-dance number.
A group of Coalition troops look up at the projected display; the ones who can be seen well enough to show an expression look confused and tentative. Below one of the Archons, the projected display now resembles a series of video-game sprites.|||
Sound: dweep DOOPA doop |||
A horde of invaders now presses against a much smaller group of defenders, primarily spidews and twolls. Ansom is securely situated in the middle of his troops.|||
Parson: They've got a good full court press going. Most of 'em are still dancing...
Are we not getting through to Ansom at all?
So do I risk Sizemore? Or save him for the endgame and get us underground?
Maggie: Lord Hamster?
A blue-armored trooper dispatches a hobgobwin with a stroke to the neck. In the background, the battle rages on.|||
A section of the courtyard wall collapses. Several of the defending units on top of the wall fall as it collapses out from under them. A Woodsy Elf and a siege tower stand just outside the breach.|||
Parson faces Bogroll and places a hand on his shoulder. Bogroll looks surprised.|||
In the foreground, Parson's expression is grim and troubled as he walks further into the tower. Behind him stand Bogroll and Maggie. In the background, Gobwin Knob troops are beginning to enter via the tower doorway.|||
- ^ The FuMP (Funny Music Project) is a collaborative group of several comedy musicians, including Erfworld author Rob Balder. The sound effect here is rendered in the style of the FuMP logo.
- ^ Specifically, they resemble — both in graphic design and placement — the sprites used to represent sounds in Mario Paint's Composer mode.
- ^ Parson is perhaps hoping that Bogroll might benefit from the "full day's supply of Luckamancy" from today's rations.
