Bogroll stands guard outside the dungeon room where Parson has convened his council of war. Parson's back can be seen through the not-quite-closed door.|||
Parson Gotti: So y'guys understand now?
It's not over.
Ansom's thinking he can overwhelm us with numbers.
But that's additive.
Wanda, Maggie, and Sizemore sit at a table. Wanda and Maggie are looking foward (presumably toward Parson), while Sizemore reads something in his eyebook.|||
Parson faces Wanda as he continues fiddling with the bracer. Wanda's expression shows just a hint of a feral grin.|||
The scene shows a distant view of the main gate of the inner garrison walls. The wall has the face of a demonic-looking creature with bright red eyes and large curving horns, with the doorway arch as the creature's mouth. The mass of enemy units in the outer city, even large ones that appear to be battle bears, are dwarfed by this sinister-looking entryway.|||
Maggie sits rigidly upright at the table, as Parson's arm gestures toward her from just off-frame.|||
Parson holds his chin in his hand. He looks anxious and intense as he ponders the situation.|||
Parson Gotti: The only thing this all hinges on is that they attack now.
Repelling the assault will leave us a courtyard full of new corpses to uncroak on our turn. Which is next.
Charlie did that much for us, by joining them.
If they do wait for his help, it'll be hopeless.
We'll have to surrender.
Parson Gotti: But... they're gonna attack.
Ansom will make that mistake, just for pride.
Just so he can avoid making the same mistake twice in a row.
Let's get up top.
