Adam Antium is a level 7 decrypted warlord of Gobwin Knob. Before croaking he was a Noble Jetstone Warlord, a believer in Scorism and held the title of Duke.

During the Siege of Spacerock, Antium was in the warlord stack at the head of the Expository Bridge, but collapsed when they received ShockTreatment from Archons. He awoke too late to save Ossomer from capture, but saying "Highness?" and getting up with another warlord may have kept Tramennis from also being collected(this is tentative, only based on a rear-view of the similar brown hair of the warlord who spoke in panel 9 of Book 2 Page 9. After Wanda and Ossomer flew around their hex on Dwagons, Antium held a conversation with the gummed Tramennis, who addressed him by his first name as they discussed Scorism.

After Gobwin Knob's turn was ended, Antium moved to the Atrium, where he was when the forces of Gobwin Knob broke through the roof and fell into the courtyard. Antium attempted to croak Wanda, but was distracted by a displacement cast by Jack Snipe. Antium was croaked shortly thereafter by a stray arrow, and then immediately decrypted by Wanda for use as new leadership for Gobwin Knob.Erf-b2-p51Same-site.PNG

Antium was promoted to Chief Warlord after his predecessor, Lord Hamster, was captured by Transylvito in the aftermath of the Battle of Portal Park. He was replaced by Parson after the latter was freed by Caesar.

He was the ranking non-Royal Commander in the bridge hex in the opening day of the Battle of Expository Bridge.

By Jetstone's turn, he was the ranking second-in-command of the force.

Real World References

Duke Antium's name is a reference to Adamantium, a fictional super-strong alloy first named in Marvel Comics and later used in several other fictional universes.

Also, possibly a reference to Adam Ant, the singer of the post-punk band Adam & The Ants; and to Atom Ant, the 1965 Hanna-Barbera cartoon superhero.
