Parson Gotti: Maggie... I have a lot of questions for you.
Maybe enough to keep us talking 'til dawn.
Is that gonna be a problem?
Closeup on Maggie, who bears a somewhat suspicious, cautious look.|||
A wide view of the command office. Parson turns to face Maggie, who stands at attention a body length away from the desk.|||
Over-the-shoulder of Parson sitting at the desk, turning the hilt over in his hands. Maggie standing at attention opposite him, stone-faced.|||
Parson Gotti: First question.
And most important. Can you help Wanda?
I can try.
I can't guarantee she will recover.
Parson is leaning over the desk, his Bracer arm on the desktop. Behind him, the chair has the appearance of some kind of gargoyle - a large maw, two fangs, squinty eyes, and a strange Omega-shaped crest of horns. The upper expanse of the chair outside the face also give the impression of wings, though they do not stretch out any great distance.|||
Closeup of Maggie, gesturing with her left hand as she speaks. She seems more relaxed and matter-of-fact, even a bit bored.|||
Maggie: Suggestion spell, Lord. There is a difference.
And I am sure she cast it quite competently.
But when such a spell breaks, there is a kind of backlash.
A cord which snaps.
A hypothetical scene shows Jillian holding her hands to her head and screaming. An echo image of her body suggests violent shaking and/or total disorientation.|||
A closeup view Parson, his elbows on the desk, his fingers interlaced under his chin, a menacing scowl on his face.|||
Maggie stands at attention, looking as if all the air had rushed out of the room. Everything is still, and Maggie is palpably alone in the large room with her angry superior.|||

The view shows the command desk from over Maggie's shoulder. The red desk bears a face like a bulldog or a gremlin, with two yellow eyes and wrinkled, grinning features. Arms behind her, Maggie seems to slump a little as Parson stares at her, his chin resting on his clasped hands, his sword hilt on the desk in front of him. Through the observation windows we see the horizon and the night sky.|||
