Panel 1

Parson pinches his left arm to reaffirm his existence in this world.[edit]
Parson Gotti: Ow! Owowow. [edit]

Panel 2

Sizemore casts a concerned glance at Parson under the light of a blue glowing orb.[edit]

Sizemore Rockwell: Are you...finished trying to wake up now?

Parson Gotti: For now. So what happened to King Saline?

Panel 3

Looking down, we see three dwagons and their riders fill much of the panel -- a red in the center, a blue on the left, and a yellow close and right. Far below, the roofs of houses that resemble mushrooms pass by.[edit]

Sizemore Rockwell: I'm still not sure.

Stanley took me and a number of the other casters out on a special mission one turn.

He was Chief Warlord to Saline then.

Panel 4

Against a blue-white sky, in silhouette we see Saline kneeling before hobgobwins and gobwins on the Tower of Efdup.[edit]

Sizemore: When we returned, the city had fallen to a sneak attack from below. Saline was put to the sword.

The Gobwins... broke their alliance and hit the city.

Very odd.

Parson Gotti: You and Stanley were in the field?

Panel 5

Parson looks pensive.[edit]

Parson Gotti: When the city fell.

Shouldn't you have disbanded?

Panel 6

In the command office of the Tower of Efdup, Stanley kneels before King Saline IV as the Royal touches a plaid cloth to his shoulders.[edit]

Sizemore Rockwell: Normally, yes. But the King was very fond of Stanley, so he did something that rarely happens.

He promoted Stanley to Heir Designate, at great expense.

That way, when the capital fell it wasn't the end of our side.

Panel 7

Three dwagons in formation -- a green on the left, reds in the center and right, with Stanley and the Arkenhammer riding the red in the middle -- descend on fleeing gobwins on crenelated ramparts.[edit]

Sizemore Rockwell: Stanley easily retook the city with his artifact and dwagons.

That's how he became an Overlord.

Parson Gotti: But not a King. Right.

Guess he doesn't like royalty very much because he started out as a Warlord.

Panel 8

Stanley rides a purple dwagon, while it smashes a structure with its breath weapon, which appears to be a gust of air or a sonic effect. Gobwins flee in terror, and more dwagons fly in formation in the distance.[edit]

Sizemore Rockwell: Actually, he started as a simple Piker. He got promoted to Warlord.

As a Warlord, he found the Arkenhammer, which he used to tame dwagons and win a lot of battles.

That's why Saline liked him so much.

Panel 9

Parson is shown in close-up, midly confused.[edit]

Parson Gotti: So... why even have royalty?

Doesn't seem that important, if you can just name an heir.

Panel 10

An image of Ansom striking a pose, chin held high and blond hair perfect.[edit]
Sizemore Rockwell: It's very important to some... [edit]
