Panel 1

Under an overhang of rock, Maggie stands by a table upon which Parson sits, toying with a yellow gem. A purple and a green gem sit by him on the table. Sizemore digs in some dirt nearby.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Y'know what I was going to do, Maggie?

What I almost did do?

Maggie: What, Lord?

Panel 2

A smiling Sizemore digs in the ground. Behind him, Parson tosses up the yellow gem, as Maggie looks on.[edit]

Parson Gotti: I was going to order you to break the link, but protect Sizemore and Wanda.

Make you take all of the backlash, like you did to Misty, and Jack.

Maggie: I see.

Panel 3

Parson looks sternly at Maggie, who wears a pained look.[edit]

Parson Gotti: I really wanted to.

Y'know? I thought you were a monster, for doing that to her.

Maggie: I am aware, Lord.

Panel 4

Maggie, hands clasped in front of her, looks at her feet, looking thoroughly miserable.[edit]
Maggie: And for what it may be worth, I am sorry. [edit]

Panel 5

Parson holds the yellow gem in front of him, looking down and smiling slightly.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Well, s'kind of a joke to apologize to me about it.

You're only like...

...maybe the third worst monster on this mountain right now.

Panel 6

Parson, sitting on the table, tosses up the yellow gem, looking off as Maggie, hands still clasped in front of her, looks away.[edit]
No text. [edit]

Panel 7

Parson gets down off the table, holding the yellow gem in his hand.[edit]

Parson Gotti: I got another question.

About Thinkamancy.

Maggie: Yes, Lord?

Panel 8

Parson sets the yellow gem down next to the red and green ones, and looks across the table at Maggie.[edit]

Parson Gotti: You said the summoning spell was forcing me to play out all my options.

Maggie: Yes.

Panel 9

Looking concerned, Parson draws his sword partway out of its scabbard, looking at it.[edit]

Parson Gotti: So how responsible am I? For this boop I caused?

What's "Ruthlessness?"

Does this control my mind? Or what.

Panel 10

Maggie gestures as she talks to Parson, who sets the sword on the table next to the green gem.[edit]

Maggie: Lord, recall the Foolamancy veil I cast on your lackey.

That would not have worked on a gobwin.

It worked because Bogroll already resembled you in most important aspects.

Panel 11

Parson replaces his sword on his belt.[edit]

Maggie: Thinkamancy works similarly, on the mind to which it is applied.

The changes it makes are remarkably small and subtle.

It cannot turn a dullard into a genius, or a mouse into a maniac.

Panel 12

Parson gestures at the ruins of the Gobwin Knob stronghold about them as Maggie stands attentively and Sizemore digs in the ground. Behind them, a doorway can be seen, filled with rock and rubble.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Or a hamster into a pit bull...

Right, so if I thought of this. If I did this...

Maggie: Then some very great part of you wanted to.

The spell only nudged it forward.

Panel 13

Parson walks away with a very unhappy expression. Behind him, Maggie stands next to the table while Sizemore continues his digging, using his shovel to retrieve a gem from the rock overhead.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Okay.

Thanks, Maggie.

Maggie: Thank you, Lord Parson.

You are a remarkable warrior.
