Panel 1

Night has fallen over the Glade of the Hippiemancers. In the middle distance, Janis and Sizemore sit under a canopy in front of a large brazier that gives off a violet-white flame. Off to the side is a column of psychedelic colored shapes reminiscent of the wax in a lava lamp.[edit]

Janis: Sizemore, you weep for those you have ended.

I love you for that.

You want peace.

But we are popped in a world where peace is impossible.

Panel 2

Sizemore turns toward Janis, his face angry and upset, a tear in his eye.[edit]

Sizemore Rockwell: How can you say that?

You're a Grand Abbie!

If peace is impossible, your life is a... a waste!

Panel 3

Sizemore and Janis are seen in profile as she calmly responds to his outburst.[edit]

Sizemore Rockwell: ...Isn't it?

Janis: Sizemore...

"Striving for the impossible" doesn't mean "toiling in vain."

Panel 4

In the foreground, the Spock-like caster stands holding his hands together, facing several others who are each seated in a lotus position and mirroring the gesture. In the background, Janis and Sizemore carry on with their conversation.[edit]

Janis: It means growth. It means improvement in the direction of your ideals. Not futility.

Look, you've gained two levels since I saw you last.

Does the fact that you can never be Level Infinity mean that you can't keep improving in that direction?

Sizemore Rockwell: Improving?

No I never wanted it.

And I never want to level like that again.

Panel 5

Janis and Sizemore sit side by side looking toward the fire. Janis maintains her unruffled demeanor; Sizemore's expression is bitter and sad.[edit]

Janis: But you will. In service to your Chief Warlord.

Sizemore Rockwell: Chief Butcher.

Janis: Oh, now...

Panel 6

Janis is seen in profile, calmly listening to Sizemore as he again vents his anger and dismay.[edit]

Sizemore Rockwell: I really thought he was different from other Warlords, Janis. But...

He's so much worse.

You don't know what he did...

Janis: He broke things.

Panel 7

Janis is seen from below as she raises her hands in a wide gesture.[edit]

Janis: Right?

Rules, people, ideas...

Even the land itself.

Panel 8

Wanda's face dominates the foreground. Her eyes are closed, and she is wearing a purple robe and hood. Off in the distance stands the canopy where Janis and Sizemore continue their talk.[edit]

Janis: You think he's even broken you.

Sizemore Rockwell: Yes.

Panel 9

A closeup of Janis' face, illuminated by the violet firelight.[edit]

Janis: He hasn't.

And some things do need to be broken.

Panel 10

Sizemore looks toward Janis as her arm reaches over his shoulders. His face is still troubled, but much less severely than before.[edit]

Janis: Follow him, Sizemore. Teach him. Help him.

Be his friend, if you can.

But do what he asks of you.

Sizemore Rockwell: Why?

Panel 11

Sizemore leans against Janis as her arm settles over his shoulders. His eyes are closed.[edit]
Janis: Because if he breaks things enough, there may be peace in Erfworld after all. [edit]
