Panel 1

Maggie stands near the tactical table in the Situation Room of the Tower of Efdup, fingers raised to her temple, performing Thinkamancy. Stanley stands with legs spread wide behind her, fists clenched, grinning with anticipation.[edit]

Maggie: Thinkagrams available, Tool.

Stanley the Tool: Finally!

Panel 2

Stanley strides forward, shouting excitedly. A painting of a moon shining through clouds in a dark blue sky over a forest campfire, hangs on the wall behind him.[edit]

Stanley the Tool: Zoom in, show me Ossomer!

Show me his face!

Panel 3

We look up at Maggie and Stanley standing by the table. A thinkagram of Ossomer and Tramennis hangs in the air in front of Stanley's gloating face. Parson, on the opposite side of the table looks at a blobby thinkagram taking form in front of him.[edit]

Stanley the Tool: Ahahahaaa! Yes! I told you, Hamster! I told you Ansom had these guys' number.

Parson Gotti: Mmokay.

Panel 4

We look down at the tactical table, littered with pink, blue, yellow and red tokens. Parson looks up at the thinkagram image of Wanda which has formed. A plant resembling a large Venus fly-trap is visible through this image.[1] Behind the table, Stanley shakes a fist at the image of Ossomer and Tramennis that Maggie is still projecting.[edit]

Stanley the Tool: Look at that!

They're running back to their ranks! Are you looking at this?

Parson Gotti: Um, my view is a... little different.

Wanda Firebaugh: Parson, a word.

Panel 5

Parson walks away from the table across the Situation Room, speaking to Wanda by thinkagram. A painting of a white tree hangs behind him and a snake-plant[2] sits in a pot against the far wall.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Yeah, Wanda.

Wanda Firebaugh: This subterfuge seems to have worked, yes?

Panel 6

Parson stands with his back to the table; he has a somber expression. In the background, Stanley's antics continue.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Looks like, yeah.

Ansom definitely got 'em to commit their top units outside the city. It's not like they can redeploy on our turn.

Stanley the Tool: Eeehee!

Wanda Firebaugh: In your opinion, should we proceed to take the garrison by air?

Panel 7

Back among the rolling green hills of Jetstone, a decrypted archon in black flight-attendant raiment holds her thumbs and forefingers in a rectangle, projecting a thinkagram image of Parson in front of Wanda.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Yeah, but...

M'not sure I trust my opinion.

Wanda Firebaugh: Why?

Parson Gotti: Well, we came in by land, with not much scouting...

We don't have a lot of current intelligence.

Panel 8

We look down at Wanda sitting astride a pink dwagon, speaking to the image of Parson projected by the blonde decrypted archon. Four other decrypted archons hover nearby, two each in flight-attendant and dance-fighting raiment. A blue dwagon crouches on the brown paving stones of the road in the background.[edit]

Parson Gotti: We're in, like, the same blind position as the Coalition when they attacked Gobwin Knob.

That makes me nervous, dunno about you.

Panel 9

Wanda gazes at Parson's thinkagram image, a serene (or dazed?) expression on her face. The blonde archon's fingers appear in the foreground; a silver-haired archon's face is hidden by her hair as she looks into the background.[3] There, Ansom is directing troops from his rolled-up flying carpet. Three archons, a yellow, a green and a red dwagon and various other flying forms follow Ansom's directions. The yellow and green dwagons, at least, carry riders.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: If you are concerned, then I am.

What do you recommend?

Parson Gotti: Eh...

Well the veil's blown now.

Panel 10

A flight of dwagons, red, black, blue, yellow and green pass behind Wanda, traveling to the left. All but the yellow are mounted. Four archons, the nearest sporting two red braids, fly along. Other gray dwagon forms are even further away. Wanda continues to speak to Parson, her expression unchanged.[edit]

Parson Gotti: The flyers have plenty of move, so maybe go do some scouting?

I mean if they fell for it, they fell for it.

But if they've got some backup plan or some surprise waiting for you, it's better to know ahead.

Panel 11

Back in the Situation Room, Parson faces away from us, speaking to the thinkagram image of Wanda. In front of him, the fire-flower peeks up from below.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: So. Gather more intelligence before attacking the city.

Parson Gotti: That's what I'd do, yeah.

Wanda Firebaugh: Then I shall.

Panel 12

Wanda sits astride her pink dwagon, which has spread its wings and lifted some distance off the ground. The blonde archon continues to hover to her right, fingers still in thinkagram position. They look out across the Expository Bridge, toward the Jetstone column and encampment on the opposite side of the river. Below, a figure in red gazes up at Wanda and the blue dwagon's nose pokes into the frame.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: By more direct means than scouting, I think.

End two-way.

  1. ^  This plant resembles a Piranha Plant, a commonly seen enemy in the Mario games.
  2. ^  This plant strongly resembles a Supox, from Star Control II.
  3. ^  Lady Nerevar of the forums is adamant that the archon with long silvery-blonde hair is modeled after her.
