Background

During Operation: Big Game, Lilith managed to inflict critical damage upon the City of Charlescomm. The resulting penalties inflicted by the Declaration of Non-Aggression Between Charlescomm and Gobwin Knob drained Gobwin Knob's treasury dry and forced Parson to turn to Charlescomm. But thanks to Fate's intervention, several archons mistakenly fired tripods into the Magic Kingdom, croaking 3 neutral casters, wounding multiple Gobwin Knob units, and outright croaking one. Thanks to the new penalties, this turned Charlie's near victory into his loss. With Gobwin Knob's treasury now flooded with stolen millions, Parson was able to turn back to Gobwin Knob at a 5 million shmucker penalty.

The Invasion

Enraged, Charlie prepared stacks of archons to invade the Magic Kingdom and croak all Gobwin Knob units there. Marie saw this with her Predictamancy and warned Parson. Parson ordered everyone to get clear of Charlie's portal, but Artemis ignored him and gave him a strict reprimand, reminding him that due to his (forced) betrayal, he was no longer Chief Warlord, a mere level 3, and he had cost them the life of one infantry unit, meaning that the battle was hers to command. Since this was a magic fight, Wanda invoked the chain of command to take over from Artemis and decrypted the corpses of the three fallen casters and an archon corpse Lilith had tossed through earlier.

Jojo, who had been veiled up till now, was quick to take advantage of Wanda's unpopular action and the Magic Kingdom's confusion by portraying Gobwin Knob as the party responsible for the attack and persuaded his fellow casters to go to war.

Wanda had Jack, Maggie, and Marie form a caster link. Jack's Foolamancy sense allowed Marie to predict where to shoot even veiled units, while Jack's observation skills and Maggie's concentration allowed Marie to handle more targets than she otherwise would. This also allowed Marie to display where to dodge. Wanda then gave the assault rifles to Count Downer and his stabbers and had everyone prepare for a dance fight. One of the newly decrypted casters was then revealed to be a rhyme-o-mancer, and he boosted the dance with his music.

The archons exited Charlescomm's portal and began shooting at the Gobwin Knob units. But to their frustration, they proved completely unable to hit their primary targets, though they did manage to dust one of the newly decrypted casters and incapacitate Lilith.

Dinah Might ordered her group to hide behind Charlescomm's portal and sent Bonnie a signal to exit the portal. Upon entering, Bonnie witnessed the bodies and attempted to prevent Wanda from decrypting them, but fell into a trap and got decrypted herself.

Gobwin Knob proceeded to croak most of the archons, but then the caster link ran out of juice and the Magic Kingdom initiated war against Gobwin Knob, successfully incapacitating Wanda.

The Riot

The barbarian casters rapidly overwhelmed Gobwin Knob, croaking Marie, dusting Count Downer, and dusting most of Gobwin Knob's remaining infantry. Seeing that the battle was hopelessly lost, Bonnie grabbed the Arkenpliers to ensure they wouldn't fall into the wrong hands and retreated with them and a firearm through Spacerock's portal.

Ivan Poe had been ordered by Charlie to block off Gobwin Knob's retreat by covering their portal in dirt. Instead, he decided to create a trap, but Bonnie, being a flier, did not fall in it.

Parson suggested to Artemis that they retreat. Artemis pointed out that they were cut off, unless they wanted to use the Charlescomm portal which would be very expensive. But then she was incapacitated, leaving Parson back in charge.

Meanwhile, the Great Minds, who had been watching since Marie gathered Gobwin Knob's troops, finally acquired enough consensus to intervene. Using a trance fusion, they casted collide-o-scope on a massive scale, disorienting every single unit in the portal park.

The Aftermath

Parson, who had been in the middle of retreating to a blue portal while carrying Maggie and Jack, was affected by the spell. After multiple attempts to travel to other portals, he ended up in Transylvito's capital. He surrendered to the dolls and became prisoner.

The casters of the Magic Kingdom calmed down enough to stop rioting, and captured Gobwin Knob's surviving forces to prosecute them in an enforcement council. Ivan Poe was initially placed in charge of Wanda, but was then himself charged for his own criminal activities. The dead casters that belonged to a side were returned to their sides, Marie was claimed by Janis, and the rest of the bodies were uncroaked by the other Croakamancers.

Gobwin Knob was left with 30 million schmuckers as a result of the many penalties inflicted by the repeatedly violated truce with Charlescomm. Bonnie left the Arkenpliers in a safe place and delivered her rifle to Ace Hardware to reverse engineer. With Wanda a prisoner of the Magic Kingdom, Stanley made Sizemore his new Chief Caster, much to Sizemore's dismay. Rumor claimed that all of Gobwin Knob's troops in the Magic Kingdom were dusted or captured in this battle.

Charlie, overwhelmed by recent events, his impending Fated doom, and his losses, succumbed to tears.
